With an extensive educational background, board certification, and a wealth of experience in radiology, Dr. Thorpe brings a unique and valuable perspective to our practice.

Education and Training

Dr. Thorpe's journey in healthcare commenced at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Biology and his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree in 1995. This solid foundation in human biology and chiropractic care laid the groundwork for his remarkable career.

His pursuit of excellence led him to become board-certified in radiology in 1998, signifying his dedication to maintaining the highest standards of expertise in his field.

Specialized Residency

One of the cornerstones of Dr. Thorpe's professional journey was his completion of a full-time, three-year residency in diagnostic imaging at the National College of Chiropractic (now the National University of Health Sciences). During this intensive program, he immersed himself in all facets of imaging, with a particular focus on musculoskeletal radiology.

Dr. Thorpe's responsibilities during his residency included film interpretation from outpatient clinics, the Radiology Consultation Service at National College, and The National MRI Center. He also served as an instructor for Radiology Learning Labs and taught Radiation Physics, Normal Anatomy, and Bone Pathology as part of the chiropractic curriculum. Additionally, he contributed his expertise to the radiology portion of the National Chiropractic Board Examination.

Ongoing Education and Credentials

Dr. Thorpe's commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident in his post-graduate training. He regularly participates in educational symposiums and conferences across the country, staying at the forefront of advancements in radiology.

His credentials in general MRI, as recognized by the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society, further exemplify his dedication to staying current with the latest technologies and techniques in the field.

Active Participation in Professional Organizations

Dr. Thorpe is an active member of various esteemed professional organizations, including the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), American Chiropractic College of Radiology (ACCR), ACA's Council On Diagnostic Imaging, The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society (CRMS), Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA), and Florida Chiropractic Society (FCS).

Furthermore, he serves as an adjunct faculty member of the National University Of Health Sciences post-graduate department, where he continues to impart his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of healthcare professionals.
